i can't answer 1 or 2... as for 3, the little LEDs are really for anything. for a while, i had them and the amber side marker light be my turn signal. that was cool. but the fast-flash got annoying (caused by the LEDs...and yes i know i can get a resistor which fixes it).

so, i switched and made the little LEDs be my parking lights. you could really do whatever you want; it all depends on what wire you splice into. it's easy. you could even hook up the LEDs to your alarm and have them flash when the alarm is armed if you wanted. lol... (assuming you have an alarm)

you mean these!!!right?? if its these sets last time i checked they were due out on may28,2006 markers. i was told they (mfg. ) were waiting on dot certification. these set probably wont see the light day due to no amber side. anybody else heard anything else about these??

ok, i remember seeing those on eBay too. i agree that DOT approval is unlikely without the amber reflector. if they were clever, they would redesign the clear outer housing so that the side reflector could be changed. then they could make it amber and anyone who wants to go clear could do it with a verion "for off road use only."

that would require some more creativity, a more complex design, and a look which deviates even more from the stock appearance. if the way people on this forum react to anything that's too "out there" -- such a design would probably get reamed a new one.

Dumb question
where would the HIDs be? in the projector or the Hi beams?
if so, are the HIDs brighter than the hi beams? if so, why wouldnt the projector be on the Hi beam as oposed to the low beam?

Beautiful! Make the corner thing either clear, with amber LED's behind it, or smoke it if it has to be amber for DOT regulations.

Please please please make sure the DS2 HID version not only has good cut off, but proper light distribution, i.e. no hot spots, dark spots, etc.

Looks like those of us on the list will be happily surprised!
