2007 tC Climate Control / Radio Lights go OFF when headlights ON
So I have infamous problem with the 07s about the center console lights going off when the headlights are turned on.
I have tried the resolder T302 fix, to no avail.
I have also ordered another HVAC board, and the problem remains.
The car does have the HALO ring headlights, from what I can see there is wiring attached to the parking light wires.
Is it possible that the halo light is taking too much power thus causing the center console to go off when I turn the headlights on?
EIDT- Mods please move to ICE & Interior

no, the halo rings do not draw that much power, and they tap into your parking light wires which are no where close to your HVAC console wires.. your headlights probably wouldn't even turn on if the halo rings had such a power draw. haha but seriously, the only solution i've seen is the soldering fix. maybe recheck your soldering?

I have rechecked the solder, maybe I just suck at it?
If I unplug the HVAC from the white plug, the radio lights work again (the lights next to the volume ****, and under all white parts) but as as soon as I plug the HVAC back in, the radio lights go out except for the LCD backlight, which goes off when the lights are turned on.
This is someone elses waterfall, but you can see the radio lights all around and also each button on the HVAC is lit up, mine doesn't light up like that, only the light that indicates wether the button is pressed or not is on.
Its just odd that both boards exhibit the same problem, not sure if the problem is in the car's wiring on the T302 itself

Is it possible to find the illumination wire for the radio and hvac, and wire them to the cigar lighter so that they are always on when the car is on??
Which wire is it on the white plug?
some say green some say orange

So I cut the Green Illumnation wire on the radio harness
The LCD light stays on when I turn my headlights on, but that is it (better than completely dark though) none of the buttons around the radio light up
The HVAC still turns off when I turn the headlights on.
I will be cutting all the wires that have been tampered with and properly re-joint hem with clamps
is this a wiring issue or a HVAC issue??
I have tried the t302 fix but it didnt work on 2 boards
