Default 2008 SCM tC with 07 Tail retro mod.

I think I'm the first to do this on the forum. Putting OEM 2007 tails on a 2008.

It's a PITA, requires removing the bumper, but the good news is this. The plug did NOT change. It's a direct swap.

Pardon the crappy pics, the GF took her wonderful Canon back leaving me with my ghetto camera.

Here's the old.

And here's the new. (well... old )

And the remnants...

New tail lights and a bath.... was a fun evening

Big thanks to tCGuy007 for selling me the tails and delivering them in a speedy and well packaged fashion.

I wasn't aware of this until after I bought them..... and was a bit nervous ripping the bumper off my brand new car

Needless to say, you only cringe once, then it's a peice of cake from then on.

Really? Are you sure...When i had my BMW, i didn't have to take the bumper off...I thought this was just toyotas stupid design..btw...i think instead of replacing them, you should have just tinted them with niteshades, then it would look great....

I had thought about doing that, but to be honest. I hated looking at the design of them. It made me feel like I was about 16 years old. (No offense)... just it brought back memories of WANTING to be 'rice'.

I've grown past that, wanted a clean car, and I think these tail lights are a much more mature addition to my car.

If anything, I'd like to at the very least make the money back I spent on 07 tails.

You can feel free to PM me if interested.

I like the new 08' tails. Call me crazy, but I think the old tails kind of clash with that color car... I liked the "more black" and "less red" of the 08's
