What exactly is all the fuss about these projector headlights anyway? I mean...I have an 08 and I coudnt tell the difference between lighting if it is about the lightning to my headlights and my friends Accords headlights.

 

They're projector head light. Thats what the fuss is. The end. lol

 

And dead secksay to boot.

 

The real issue for me is that this is the first purpose built, high quality, plug and play projector headlight for the tC. It's been a precondition for me that before I get HID, I have a better method of controlling the glare, and this is it!

If you don't care about the headlights, I'm sure you can find someone with an 05-07 willing to pay you a couple hundred bucks to trade with you.

 

any one bake these yet to black out the side marker or am I going to have to be the guinea pig.

 

You're on your own there. I'd be happy to have them blacked out, but then again, I'm happy just the way they are. I'm not opening these things up!

 

maybe i missed it somewhere in the 18 pages, i apologize... but what exactly do i need to do if i were to buy these headlights?
and would have to buy a new HID kit, or could i just get the H11 bulbs and replace the 9006 ones i have now?

Your either need an HID kit with H11 bulbs or you need H11 plugs to splice into the stock harness so you can plug the H11 bulb in.

 

is it safe to splice into the stock harness, is the power difference going through them the same?

 

If you're just going to use the H11 bulbs, you can splice. If you're adding HID or something, you can't.

 

You can easily get them to give you an H11 bulb with a 9006 harness when you order the kit.

so at the beginning when it says "these headlights are NOT 100% plug and play, their are some modifications that need to be done" > what does that mean?

 

The low beam for pre-08 lights is 9006, the low beam for the 08s is H11. You will need to solder on new harness ends for H11, or use an HID kit with an H11 bulb.

 

I have a question for those of you have 08 headlights, do u guys have any "fogging up" issue? Is resealing recommended? has anyone done it? Mine is coming next week and I just want to make sure that I don't have to take them out again after installing them b/c of that issue.

 

Fogging is a non issue. Its an OEM toyota part. Unless its the freak headlight that didnt get a good seal

 

If it fogs up them it was bad from Toyota. If that happens it's still covered under warranty. If you dealer gives you carp about it we'll handle it.
