fjo2jfoar29rf9u i spent last 4 hours reading about 08 tc and the projector housing. anyways i have the 06 tc, with HID kit.

if i did my reading correctly it will cost me 400 just for housing, then i have to throw out my 9006 blubs and swap in the H11 bulbs?

suppose i do get the housing, can i just throw my old HID kit in there, and just buy the H11 blubs and plug and play with my old HID kit?

http://www.cqlight.ca/index.php?cPat...b1f1c306624a83

thats where i bought my HID kit, they do sell replacement bulbs. so i was thinking i can just order 2 H11 blubs from them

Are you sure you were reading everything in this thread?

If you already have an HID kit then all you would need to do is get an HID buld that fits an H11 slot and plug it into your HID kit.

^^ He's correct. If you have an HID kit now, just use the same ballast and get new H11 bulbs and they will work fine. No splicing or replacing plugs.

And cahnge your low beam sockets to H11 plugs all you have to do it cut the 9006 socket splice the wires and put the new H11 sockets then just use the black electric tape to hold them.

If you just use the H11 HID kit, you connect the ballast to the stock harness and then you can just connect the H11 bulbs to the projector housing. No need for splicing or anything.

i do have the HIT kit, but i also have the relfector housing, which means my lights scatter everywhere, so thats why i wanted the 2008 housing, to fix the glare and scatter lights. i know i can buy the H11 bulbs, and just wanted to verify if the H11 bulbs will fit in the 2008 housing, i also wanted to know if the H11 housing will fit in the 2008 housing?

haha i read all this stuff yesterday night, and i cant remember anymore...

If these are the same projectors used in 2007 ^ Camrys , the cutoff will be very nice! Im running a H11 HID kit in my 2007 Camry and it honestly looks cleaner than my TSX/retrofitted tC.

Sodder and shrink wrap if you want to keep the connection good.

Yes, I'm doing the same thing. Just buy replacement HID bulbs in H11 (these will fit the 08 projectors), replace your 9006 bulbs with these and put them in the new housings. They work fine without splicing or anything.

For a high dollar kit yes. There are kits out there that are pretty good and last a long time in the $150-$200 range.

I bought two sets of the 08 head lights and I already have a McCollough HID kit. I just have to buy the H11 bulbs for them. I will get them this coming Tuesday. Thank you again Josh.
