Personally....
You need a roll bar before you go with 4 pt. harnesses.... any serious racer or auto-xr will insist on that.... if you roll your car and are wearing a 4 pt without a roll bar... chances are you will come out REALLY, REALLY bad...
I have the bar before the seats and harnesses, as I knew that'd be the only acceptable way to do it....
If you compete in any class events, they will turn you away if you don't have a roll-bar and want to run with a harness... Sorry...

The Best option is to go in this order....
Bar
Seats
Harness
You can buy a premade bar from Autopower Incorporated for a pretty penny, but that'll get you on the road...
I'll post my roll bar soon, as it's getting prepped for paint currently... (you need to repaint them after shipping)... so you can see what just a bar looks like, rather than a full cage.... it's not too intrusive, but it is difficult to install...
Taek has the full cage, but that's for some serious racing, not what you probably are looking for...
Too many people do this in the wrong order, or don't wait to do it right...
