what the hell does an air splitter do? i saw one for sale for $200 on this site:

its used for downforce.....some use it more for looks though, but its main purpose is to force more air down to add traction as you go faster.

hahahaha. But no, seriously, It forces air upward over the car which in turn forces the car downward onto the road. This will give you better grip as you go faster. You really have to be going 150+ or something rediculous like that to really see/feel a difference though. The air just isnt moving fast enough at highway speeds to really do anything beneficial.
