Default AIT Carbon Fiber Hood

I am planning on ordering this AIT Carbon Fiber Hood

http://www.showstoppersusa.com/produ...oducts_id=1191

I was wondering if I would need hood pins, I don't think I do but thought I would ask, and if the OEM latch is sufficient.

Thanks!

AIT?

Guess again, that's Seibon.
I've heard only bad things about Seibon.

who the hell have you been listening to?

and that is a seibon hood, it looks like they copied the AIT hood, which copied another hood not made for our car.. bla bla.

but i would much rather go with seibon than AIT. however, AIT does make a silver c/f hood which looks pretty snazzy if you ask me

Seibon is one of the best companies at doing carbon. They've been around along time. Plus I would highly suggest getting pins if not just for piece of mind. There is an EVO at my bodyshop right now with a busted out winsheild because the owner decided that they were "optional."

o it is a Seibon hood then, is there a paticular name for this Seibon hood (just so I can get it right when listing it on mods for shows) Thanks for clearing it up, I actually already ordered it

make sure you get hood pins, they are optional, but if you do drive over 80mph+ for a while it wont hold, i have seen many c/f hoods smashed onto windshields in my day.. so get them, they are only like 50bux, and make sure you put them on immediately, if you wait a month or two you risk cracking your c/f.

also, check the seibon website, they have the name,

Hood pins make a car look more aggressive. Even if others are recommending them for your safety, I recommend them for the look.
