Default Am I missing something?

I've been on the market for a badgeless grill for the longest, something that is going to look good for a reasonable price, have search everywhere and anywhere so far no luck.E-bay has some but not to my taste except for this listing here but for this price I think I am going to pass.Out of the 50 sold 49 were $48.00, some lucky person paid the $899.99 plus the $12.99 for shipping,I asked the seller if the price was a typo but they never answer me back......am I missing something here?

Dude, I actually investigated a bit yesterday (I accidentally stumbled on this thread hoping someone would say something about that listing).

Anyway, I called the number "nana.outpost" provided in the items description and spoke to their sales department. I asked if the price was a typo, and they told me that it was not a typo - $899.99 is the actual price!

I then asked if there was a reason behind it and the guy replied that it was a "supply and demand" kinda thing. He then went on to say that the price would eventually go down.

According to the feedback left on "Nana.Outpost" those who ordered the grills got a notification that their orders were cancelled and refunded their $48.

SO, I have no idea WTF is going on. Guess we gotta wait it out & see if the price drops back to $48 rather than $899.

seriously??? i bought that exact same grill from the same seller for 60 (plus shipping) dollars lol....strange. I received it about 2 weeks ago. Bad thing is, the lower grill does not clip in all the way, I mean it mostly clips on I guess. Top fits perfect. Anyone want to buy my set for half of his price? lmao

What's up with all these random prices! haha From $48 to $60 to $899!

I ordered a grill from carid.com (http://www.carid.com/2005-scion-tc-g...tem-93354.html) and it's the only one I was able to find that's reasonably priced and is black (unlike ebay and all the carbon fiber grills for sale). BUT there's a catch to this: I ordered the grill from carid.com in January and I'm still waiting for it! Warehouse was out of stock (according to sales dept.) but it should be shipping in two weeks (even though on the site it says "in stock"). Hope my grill hunting experiences are insightful for anyone reading! ::smh::

I think tc parts are inflating...raceland coilovers went from 300 to 320, parts are being back ordered, etc etc. I ordered an ebay lip kit 3 weeks ago, a couple days ago they finally contacted me back basically saying they dont have anymore then refunded me the money...looks like i'll just get the rs2 before the price goes up as well lol.

Dangit, I just saw this thread and now I'm concerned. I just got these grilles 2 weeks ago and have yet to install them. I bought them from the same seller when they were $60 + shipping. I'm hoping I don't run into the same problem that Timmy ran into with the lower not fitting correctly. If they don't fit, I'm going to be seriously upset since I've waited so long to finally get them.

Well I would guess that JDM stuff would go up. Considering what is going on in Japan right now. But I doubt it would go up from $49 to $899! That nuts..

Anywho.. check out Fig engineering grills. I think they look the best imo.

Hey J_Leon, good news, the seller has lowered his prices lmao. its 52.99 now, 5 dollars more than how it was a couple weeks ago. Not bad considering it was at 899.99...which someone actually bought O.O

if you want one of the cheap ebay ones i've got one of their badgeless ones i'll sell (i think i've still got it)... you would just need to repaint it because they sent me the 'carbon fiber' design one so i repainted it

Yea I noticed they dropped the price. Shipping is $12.99 + tax for CA residents (so me being from CA it came out to $71).

Here's another sketchy thing in regards to the seller: I wrote them a message last week in regards to why the price was $899 and they never replied - Oh well. So yesterday I saw that they lowered the price, and when I attempted to purchase it, ebay displayed a message that "The seller is not accepting your bid". WTF?! It appears that the seller may have blocked me. I used my mom's ebay account to see if it was happening to others, and nope, my mom's account was able to purchase the item. SO did they block me due to the message I sent? Real shady if that was the case.

lol..that is weird. Well i can vouch that they will send it and wont steal your money lol. But im not the only one experience fitment issues with the bottom grill, 2 other friends of mine as well have the issue. Its not that bad though, it'll fit, just doesnt snap on onto every clip. Good luck

Yea, I've purchased from them before & everything has always gone well.

And thanks for the heads up on the fitment issue.
I'll see how it works out (maybe zipties will help?).
My tC is a 2010 so I may just keep the oem lower grill on, it looks alright from pics I've seen with the two grill types on.

The price is back down. I bought that set from them right before they changed it to $899... I FREAKED out and checked all my bank statements, paypal etc and it was fine. I assumed that the price went up because they sold out of them or something. Who knows? They look nice in the car though and fit perfect.
