I've seen a couple of these headlights on ebay, but some don't say that it's CCFL, but from the pictures it clearly is CCFL halos. So I was wondering if the people who are selling these are just plain clueless, or there are versions of these that are made with different components...

There are two type; the LED halos, and the CCFL halos. The price for the headlights with CCFL are typically $100 more than the ones with LEDs

So can ebay sellers show a picture of a headlight WITH CCFL and then ship the buyer a with a LED halo's?? wouldn't that be false advertisment? cause CCFL halo's are hella cheap in Taiwan (where these headlights are made), I've seen a set of halo's for about $20.

Why would you want LED lights in the head light housing since we know replacing the 194 bulb with an LED style bulb results in there fast failure rate?

the heat from the bulb is what may cause failure in the LEDs
and the parking light spot was not made specifically for LEDs.

with projectors its mostly contained in the projector housing intself and halos are usually far enough away, the heat that might cause LED failure from the bulb doesn't reach that far

Damn! I haven't been back to Scionlife for a while and this looks very nice! I'm wondering, can the eyelid LEDs be made so they are on when the car's on, like daytime running lights?

sorry guys the package did not arrive this weekend... they should be coming by mid next week, gonna try to drive back from school and get these installed right when the lights get to my house! I think the LED's and the halo's come on just like how the parking lights came on.

i installed these yesterday, there are some fitment issues but its not TOO bad, i like em, but im not too happy of the lighting, its less than stock and the cutoff is a pretty severe angle. although, i do like how the edges of the light have a rainbow effect (colorwise). ill be upgrading to HID eventually, then theyll be freakin sweet. i love the stealth look, thats what im going for. I plan on getting black 5 spoke wheels with a chrome lip. If anyone can link me to some wheels like that WITHOUT a silver/chrome center then please do.

oh yeah, and another thing, we couldnt figure out where to plug in the wire for the parking lights so right now i dont have any but it doesnt bother me. if anyone has installed these before please let me know where to plug it in at. it didnt fit in any of the stock plugs.

Typically the seller would probably got the image from the manufacturer. In most case, the manufacturer will provide the same image for both CCFL and LED, and they rely on their description to justify the quality of the selling item. That's why you need to ask the seller if you're unsure.

Damn those tricky ebay sellers, though I still think it's false advertisment. If the description says "Comes exactly as picture above" then having CCFL rings in their halo's in the picture means that they should include it.

Well, you can't allege false advertisement for 3 reasons:

1) If the text description says LED halos

2) Can you really prove that the picture was indeed CCFL?

3) They can always say that the pictures is to show you the physical design of the headlights.

If the text description says CCFL and you receive LEDs, then it is their false.

These aren't even the same headlights that we are talking about. Anyone have the Anzo projectors installed yet? Waiting in anticipation...

If the projector's bad, what do you guys think about baking these and replacing the projectos with OEM audi/bmw/acura projectors? I like everything else, and would also want to rewire the top LED lights so they run as daytime running lights. You guys think these two things would be hard?

Maybe we can compare cutoff with your projectors along with the anzo projectors. I should have pictures up by this week.

Stupid ebay seller sent me a defective headlight, it had no wireings, no caps, it wasn't sealed, dust inside the headlamps.... so all I have is pictures of my passenger side.
