i just purchased bat's reverse light red-out overlay (goin for a red / flint-mica look). ill post pics when i get them in / installed. my friend doesnt think they'll look good, but i think they will. anyone else have experience with them? (for those who dont know what they would look like -- imagine if the clear circles on your tailights were the same red color as the rest of the tailight)

take ur time, alot of patience needed, that and soap water...

 

They'll look good. And those won't be difficult to put on at all as they're just little circles and you won't have to deal with curvatures on the light fixture. =]

 

I wanted these redouts for so long. The only problem I have with them is that I dont have a reverse light anymore and God forbid I back into someone who didnt know I was in reverse....etc.

They look HOT though. BlueBat, I'll be contacting you soon, I need to place an order for some overlays...

 

you mean once you put them on? the reverse light doesnt go through the overlay at all?

 

well, usually reverse lights are white. when you see a car with white lights on in the rear, you slow down/stop and expect it to back up..right? tht's what he meant by that post. =] correct me if im wrong.

 

thats true... hopefully the light will come out pinkish instead of red like the regular brake/tail lights, just so theres some difference

instead of seeing a white bright light, you now see a pinkish or red light. I asume stupidity with some people and don't think if they see pink, thewy are gonna be "Oh that car is reversing" and be more like "Ooooo! A pink tail light" as I back into them.

Bat do you have overlay's to the turn signals for the mirrors. And the tyc overlays do they come darker. I want a dark overlay.

i dunno though. I've had my mom put the car in reverse while i stood behind the car. There's a noticeable difference between the red of the brake lights and the red of the overlay'd reverse lights. It's not pink, but it's not bright red either.
