Default Any problems with H.I.D.?

Hey everyone! I am looking at getting an H.I.D. kit in the very near future. I was just wondering if anyone was experiencing any problems with the kits available. Probably looking to get mine off of e-bay, which I know is buyer beware anyways. Any issues to report? Let me know

I have nothing but good things to say about Halo HIDs I got them from Uneek here on SL. Any type you'd like is $230. I have the 8k, they are bright, I never get flashed and have had zero issues with them. Good luck

honestly if i werent doing a retro i would be getting this HID kit...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Denso...QQcmdZViewItem

all you would need to buy is a relay to power them straight from your battery. I usually dont encourage others to get HID's for stock housing since it produces nothing but glare but this is if it were me buying one. this seller sells nothing but 100% the real deal. Ive bought along with many others on HIDPlanet.com.

I have 12000K HID Kit from Heir Automotive. Great Price, Easy Install, and Superior Service. Unlike the Halo Kit, Heir Automotive Kits comes with a free harness, no worrying about burning up the stock wiring harness! You have to buy a harness separately with Halo.

i got the 6k flowlighting kit, my only issue with them is that they are aimed low

i've tried readjusting the aiming to make them as high as possible, it helped a little but they are still too low i could probably move them way up without blinding anyone (if anyone knows of a way to aim them higher than allowed by factory, please let me know!)

i juss started having a problem with my hid.
THEY STARTED TO MELT THE HOUSING!!
i know scionlifers have warned others that they
will melt the wiring/housings but i really didnt
pay much attention. would there be a way to keep
the hid from continuing melting the housing?

these are the brand i have.

and these what my 10k looks like (sorry pics came out blurry)

and here's the glare that ive only been flashed on twice.
they look kinda purple but they're not. they're more blue than purple

i will post the pic of the melting housing laters...

No way HIDs melted your housing. Are you talking about the wiring harness? Could you provide some pics?

Did you use a relay harness? If not thats why your stock harness is melting. I would swith back to stock asap until you install a relay harness, if you dont already have one.

also, the bottom part of the housing is fading to a sprinkle-like white dots.
i dont know if its also starting to melt or if its the residue from the top part .
and no i didnt use any wire harness/relay or anything like that.
juss so u guys will know...no wires have melted, juss the housings.

do any of u guys know what i can do to "repair" my melted housing without
having to buy a whole new one?
