Anzo tail light/led question.
Ok so I've seen the Anzo's on some of the cars on the forum. Bottom line I like em. So I emailed Anzo with the following question:
Can you get to the Led's in the tail light housing easily? For example if one of the led's goes out can you replace them easily or do you have to replace them all or are
they on one big circuit? I don't want to have to bake a taillight to get
inside to replace the led's.
Ok so here's the reply I got from Anzo:
All the LED on our taillights are on one circuit and it's not easily
replaceable.
At least the guy replying was honest. Now my question to the members who have them is this 100% accurate? I mean how long do the LED's last and "IF" you do have to replace how hard is it? Like I stated in the email I'm not to fond of baking the tail lights.

I've had mine since October and none of the have burnt out. LEDs last a long time and since there is no heat being produced in the tail light assembly, they will not melt/die fast.
^^ Under normal conditions, LED's last a VERY long time. Far longer than bulbs. Soldering the LED's onto a circuit is the easiest and most efficient way for them to do it and they can afford to do that because if done correctly, people wont need to replace them often. Chances are that for the amount of time you drive your car you will never have to replace them.
Don't worry about that. I work in the aerospace industry and we use LEDs because we typically get far more than 100,000 hours out of them, in often extreme conditions. Our incandescent bulbs last a few hundred hours.
Our cars will never see anything like 100,000 hours.
Go LED!

I hope mine last very long b/c when I saw inside of the taillights, dang too many wires and too many soldered leds. I'm pretty sure you have to replace the whole thing.
