mine are light smoke 3/10. There is also the dark 6/10. If you want even darker you will have to double up on the 6/10 or VHT nightshade them.

Got mine from ebay. Either go w/ omicron (spelling?), pro exhaust, or motor blvd. All three have the real anzo dot approved red LED tails. Ranges from around 160 to 190 shipped.

It took me 2 hours! I didn't know what I was doing on the first light, so I had alot of wrinkles when I got towards the end. It took forever to heat and stretch the vinyl so I could get those wrinkles out. The second light was much easier because I knew exactly where to start. What worked for me, was starting in the middle and smoothing the overlay out, then working from the middle to right side, then did the left. I had to really take my time, squeegeeing it inch by inch so there wouldn't be many bubbles, those are the worst to try to get out! I HIGHLY recommend removing the lights first.

Here is BlueBat's DIY for the tail lights. Follow it to the "T":

yup, they remove without leaving a sticky mess. that is the main reason I chose vinyl over spray paint.

Does anyone have the ones that are allready smoked without the overlays? I've been wanting to get them for my SW but not sure if they will look ok, and how dark they come. My windows are 22% tinted so I thought the smoked may look better. =)

Damn ..they look awesome! I was thinking about getting the Anzos, but I heard that the LEDs go out quickly. How's the reliability? Anyone know ..?

I'm just curious where the names for some of the tails are coming from? I have the same exact tails on one of my xB as was labeled "Anzo" with the photo below earlier in this thread. Yet if you look at the lense of the tail itself, just ahead of the DOT SAE , it is clearly made by "SONAR" (Sonar Automotive Pty, Taiwan).

Oddly enough, I wound up scanning the SL archives for clues as to why the new tails for my son's '07 TC kept blowing fuses and found his tails being called "Altezza" and at least one or two other names and they are also made by SONAR.

Slightly confused over the labeling and originally had a hard time searching SL for info on the lights because nobody seems to acknowledge the actual manufacturer. Not life-threatening but I am curious if anyone knows why we don't call these SONAR LED tails?
