Default APT Fog lights...

Hey, I just got mine in the mail today, are they pretty easy to install? Or should I take it to a place to install it? How much will it run me to install it proffesionally ? anyone know roughly?

i never do.. i just take off parts of the bottom splash guard off.

it takes like 15-20 minutes. i wouldn't bother having some "professional" do it..
it's plug and play... it's very easy to install.

all that looks WAY to complicated... and I dont have those middle fog lights , i have the ones that fit on the side's not in the grill. I think just removing the splash guard or whatever seems easier.

the factory style fog lights install similar since you need to mount the ground wire and then just connect in the connectors.

it should be very simple to figure out.. you only need a 10mm wrench/ratchet.. that's the only tool you need.

lol.. thanks.

it is a simple install and honestly, you really don't need a DIY... it's pretty self-explanatory.
don't think or make it more complicated than it really is..

then again.. give me a 10mm ratchet and a blindfold, and i'll install the thing if you want.

well its a similar process to the installing the middle fog lights (the one you probably read in one of those links posted above).

i prefer to just remove the front bumper, but its not necessary. removing the bumper just gives me more space and more visible light to see things. and it only takes a few minutes to take off the bumper. just remove the screws and pull it off the car.

Sooo... the fog lights hook up to a fog light wire already in the car? or just run the wires to the inside of the car and attach a switch?

it hooks up like the OEM fogs, just go to trdsparks look up the pdf for that install and follow it. It takes like 20-30 mins tops.

If you read the directions in the links posted, particularly the one on YStC (which happens to be on here also, in the Tech section I believe), it tells you where the wires are and how to connect the switch and relay. The only differences between installing these and the OEM fogs is their location and the bulb connectors on the end of the harness which is irrelevant.
