That is the seal, there are no holes. The glass extends past the foglight to close the gap

nah - i just thought the light was jammed in there so hard that it was splitting it apart. is that the case or is that gap filled and like that before the light was put there?

What are you talking about splitting, everything is fine with his install. That is the way they are suppose to look. That black line is the weather stripping for the lipkit

That is because you have to either push them in with some force like dqlostsoulz did or trim the lip some so they can fit in there. They were made for the stock bumper openings

What do you have to trim exactly? Just grind down the part of the lip that is connected to the openings right?

Yea I believe so, the OEM makes the opening smaller so you just have to trim alittle bit to make it bigger or push them in

New member of the 'VRD Fogs for under 90 bucks' club here so I'm bumping this thread. Let me start by saying that I was amazed how fast these things got here from Taiwan of all places (4 DAYS!) I ordered some bulbs from inside the state and they arrived over a week after the fogs did, and I ordered them both on the same day. Best 100 bucks I spent on almost anything car related probably ever. I was battling bouts of rain so when it stopped for a few minutes I ran outside and put em in. Only took me a hot 45 minutes.

1.) First of all if you want to do the Fogs w/ Parking Lights mod, then follow the instructions in this thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...396&highlight=
Easy as pie and almost impossible to flub up.

Here are the pics:

With the driving lights on...

With the parking lights on...

Here's the switch after its installed and how it looks at night:

The clear glass kind of dilutes the yellow a bit at night so I'm thinking about getting some yellow overlays. But I like the way they look during the day. Still debating.

Bottom line...get these.

i ordered a clear set of these from the guy on ebay, and i am completely satisfied. Installation was a breeze, also got some nokya hyper yellow bulbs for them ( decided not to go HD)

Here is how they look at night time with my parking lights on.

is there any type of overlay or something that we can put over these VRD/APT fog lights to help them not get damaged from rocks or anything? i would like to put some on when i purchase a set but im looking for clear ones and not yellow overlays. sort of the stuff you'd see like headlight armor.
