I broke down and ordered a set from Meng. I know i spent more than i should have but APT wont have them in until end of Feb, possibly even the beginning of Mar. Already have my Nokya Hyper Yellow bulbs on the way also

 

One side of my fogs is all fogged up. Is there anyway to clean that up WITHOUT taking off the front bumper and taking out the fog itself.

 

You don't have to take the bumper off. Just unscrew the splash guard right in front of the wheel and reach in there and unclip the light.

 

Those things are always so tricky when screwing back on Jon! I guess that is the only way. I dont know why it is fogged up in the first place. When I put it on brand new couple months ago, I made sure the black circle rubber was flushed so water doesnt go in.

 

They're not very weather resistant so if you're in a cold part of the country, they probably dried out and cracked allowing moisture to get in.

 

This is how I fixed mine to be weather resistant.

 

Thanks for the pics but want to explain a little bit what you did? I am not sure what to look for. Probably take mine out this afternoon and attempt to clean it.

 

Yeah I've wondered about this ever since you posted these pictures a long time ago. Willing to make some for the SL community? I'm down to buy a pair. I don't have the tools to do all the cutting and what not.

 

I will talk to my machinist and see if he will do some more of these, he will make the money, the only thing is you might have to find a good weather grommet to seal up the end hole, unless you put an HID kit in, it will still be a little fab on your part. All I did was silicone them on so I know they will come off if need be.

 

May be a REALLY dumb question, but the two wires....positive (+) and negative (-) right? And what size bulb is it?

 

H3 is the bulb size

 

Just throwing this idea around, if you could figure out the wiring, could you use the APT's as run lights & turn signal? Kinda like a 7443 switchback bulb that VLED's has.

over a year with these and the Nokya 2500k Hyper Yellow bulbs, couldn't be more satisfied (on the second picture, the angle of it makes the passenger side bulb look less bright. it's not).

 

I'm interested. If only I could buy a set without having to get them at Meng. How much would your mechanic charge?
