VDI as in vertical doors Inc?

I had that kit and you have to roll, or trim the fender to let it work correctly.

Show me what you did with your fender to get it to work, a picture would be awesome!!!

I would love to do this, but it is a really drastic mod, if you do this you better be sure you want to do this, or at least in my case, i think it would get old after a while, BUT then again, its so cool lookin!

I'd love to do it, but I never knew you would have to trim the fenders on some kits. Glad I read this. Probs to costly for me anyways...

they are cool to have, but I had mine on for 6 months and sold them.
It was always fun to open them up at the car wash, or at the gas station and have people look over and be amazed, but for my daily driver, it's a lot of work going in and out.

Also, I sold them to pay for part of my turbo since that set me back a good $5,000 plus. and the door hinges are heavy which will slow me down once the car is all built for the track.

Lmao the door hinges would slow you down at the track? bro just eat one less triple whopper with cheese before you run and it will be the same result lol i cant believe that was a reason to get rid of it!

I think you skimmed a little on what I wrote.

also, when you are in a heavy car and take it to the track for 1/4 mile times, you want it as light as possible. I will be taking out every piece of material in the interior except for a light weight racing seat. So an additional 50lbs is not the direction the car needs to be, unless I was still showing the car as well

if you install the kit correctly you should have an OEM seal with the door.

My only complaint is the shocks died out within 6 months. The shocks are around $150 to replace. Didn't want to drop $150 plus shipping on shocks every couple months!

I installed myself.

The $1000 was for the kit, and shipping the kit to me. I did all the work after that
