Default BC2 front question

This happened:

So, it's either $225+painting for a new front lip OR about $260+painting for a whole new front bumper. I've almost settled on the BC2 front bumper, but after searching this site I've read there are severe fitment issues. Is it really that bad? Anyone do it themselves? I do 95% of my own work because I am capable and well, cheap. I've never done body parts before though. "Is it really that complicated" I guess is the real question? Afternoon job?

Also if anybody happens to know if that would look weird with the other ground effects, feel free to chime in. I'm on the fence with all of this.

Also, who owns this? I'd like to talk to them!

Too many open holes for me, I mean I really like the front bumper and I think that car looks great. But I am not a fan of mesh, and that doesnt look like grillecraft to me it looks like mesh. And without a turbo your just going to have a big open nothing. jusy my opinion

Yeah, I do have a turbo with FMIC and all that - part of why this looks like it'd be a win. I think I'd go with darker grill material, too. (As I have a stock SSM hood, for now at least.)

So mospeedtc it's not like stock bumper where it has tabs that just snap on? How does it attach? Can you elaborate at all?

Nope mines held up by bolts and its still not perfect. I have to get the driver side refitted cause it sticks out to much, if you lookning for something that will just go on this is not the kit for you....

Also not sure wat turbo kit you have but if its dezod then be careful cause there was a local TC that had his BC2 bumper hack up... EWWW

Is that fiberglass or flex fiber?

Oh it's a ZPI kit - the intercooler and piping all fits within the stock bumper.

Yea if your turbo and can afford to make it fit than I would say go for it, I like the front bumper as long as the holes are filled in i.e. intercooler woudl be a great way lol
