just installed my skunk2 catback~



i just realized my tires look like they belong on a SUV..

super loud until i went to a muffler shop and had them weld on one of the cheapest cats they had on their shelf. now, i love it. i got a bit of my torque back too.

 

^yea I saw vids on youtube on the skunk2, it was loud as hell. The sound almost blew my speakers lol. That's good you got it the way you wanted. How much did they charge you to do all of that?

 

bought the catback used for 400, and the cat and the welding was 120 total. i'd say it was money spent well. now to pray i don't attract the 5-0s...

 

^^lol yea them 5-0s are very picky around here where I'm at in NY. That's a really descent price for the labor and the cat. Over where I'm at they tried to charge me $200 bucks just to install my cat-back system, it was ridiculous lol.

 

oh i only paid 120 for the cat and the labor to weld it on. i installed the catback in my driveway/garage. it's a really straightforward installation, so yeah, just get some stands, tools and it should be easy. they call it bolt on for a reason haha.

 

Nice. Skunk2 without header sounds good. If you have a header, I can imagine it is much louder. Did you try putting in the silencer?

I also have SUV tires. I"m running hankook winter tires still. Meaty tires make the tc look mean.

 

it was SUPER loud. i was driving around my house at like maybe 25-30, and i almost set off a car's alarm. it did that little warning beeping. but no, i never tried to put the silencer in. i heard it just makes it super ricey, so i just left it out. and haha, how weird. my tires are summer tires. i just completely went stupid when i ordered my tires and got 225s for my 17x7s....

You are correct! it is the Viniati one and i hate it! Looked nice at first but then after awhile it started cracking... spent way too much to repair it...but yeah, I can assure u shes mine...unless of course ur bf got the giant gold stickers on the doors and belongs to the Mystical car club.

Miss my car, been too long since i seen her...cant wait to drive it again...been drivin a '91 Nissan pickup truck...want to push the gas pedal and actually be able to accelerate!

 

haha well as long as sappino (bf's car name) doesn't cheat on aliantha (my tCs name) with your chika car then i'm good
