Take the 10 minutes to remove the bumper. It makes things so much easier. I don't know how the 08's clip in, but on my 07, there are tabs all the way around the grill holding it in. If you push too hard, you risk breaking them.

you dont even have to remove the bumper for the lower grill
just remove the left and right spalsh gaurds under the car and pry the notches off attached to your lower grill. You can use your hands, it just takes some force

dont be afraid to use the force! you wont hurt your car!

People seem to be too reluctant to remove their bumpers. I was nervous the first time. I was always looking for ways to do mods without removing the bumper. However, now I take it off all the time. It's been off about 8 times. I can do it in under 5 minutes now, F1 pit-crew style. It takes a bit longer to put it back on, but it's nothing really. I took the bumper off to install my grilles, took it off to install the intake, took it off to fix the broken intake mount, took it off when I dropped a screw down inside, took it off when I had leaves trapped behind the grille, and a few other things too. Just take the frickin bumper off.

Mine has been off so many times that I only secure it with 4 bolts because I know it will be coming off again.

i think its just the thought:
why bother with the put back and clean up?

i took out my bottom grill, and the windshield washer fluid container by just taking out the splash guards

and didnt need to take the bumper off

Well my thought is, why bother squeezing your arm through a small gap when you could have the whole thing opened up in front of you? Especially when doing the intake install and intake maintenance, it is best to take the bumper off instead of trying to squeeze through the wheel well. It's easier to do a good quality job when you're not limited on space.

Yes it comes right off..........nothing to be scared about..........once you do it you will have it off again for your Fogs.........and again for your Ballasts and again for the CAI and on and on..........

the entire car can be gutted in under 4 hours to a big pile on the ground and it goes right back together just as fast...........just do not let the wife drive up behind you while doing it..........boy she was mad.........

took me 7 minutes to install the vrd grille without removing the bumper, took me 3-4 minutes the second time around I took it off and reinstalled it to see if the chrome trim would fit.

how long did it take you removing the bumper and all

hmmm.. i dunno... for the amount of time taking off the front bumper..

compared to the seconds it takes with your foot to just kick the grille in...

i opt for the faster method.
