Default Brand new scion gets paint chips.

Hey guys I took a road trip and on the way back a freaking snow plow dropped a load of rocks. This left almost 20 small little black chips in my paint. Anything I can do, How much will it cost me? And will the dealer do it? And I have a 2G deductible on my insurance ATM.

Toyota/Scion paint has been know to have crappy paint jobs unfortunately. It's not something your dealer will fix for free if thats what you were asking.

If I were taking a road trip in my tC (or any car for that matter), I would have purchased a front car bra.

Yeah you just kind of have to deal with it bro. Just be glad that you didn't drive back from Seatlle, and take monthly trips to Texas. My front end is F*CKED and it's not even 2 months old yet.

Mine isn't too bad. I do almost all highway miles driving from new york to connecticut and back. I just make sure to keep a nice thick coat of wax, especially on the front.

There isn't much you can do for those nicks. Touching it up would probably look worse than it does now. Just keep it waxed

so it's not a good idea to have the dealer fix it? I would pay to have it fixed how much would it cost? I might be interested in 2 tone. And what about a 2 tone with the top consiting of viynl?

Honestly I wouldn't even talk to the dealer. They're more trouble than their worth depending on which one. And you'd never get them to pay for it unless you yelled at the manager and he'll just laugh at you.

If you went with a vinyl top, depending on who you know and the shop you choose you're looking between 100-500.

Painting = you get what you pay for.

Cheap Maaco price = sh*tty Maaco paintjob

you can get some there. the touch up doesn't work to well, i got couple scratches on my NB tc, and the paint is hmm pretty noticeable.. but i guess its better than a big white line

yea, unfortunately paint chips are just a reality with really any car... especially in the scenario you described... I doubt there'd be any car without some type of damage

You could try careful touchup + wetsanding + polishing, but its going to be one heck of a biatch to fix your multiple rock chips - plus they'll never look as good with our metallic paints.

Just try to keep it waxed

If it's the whole bumper and hood then that's a good deal. Try and look at some of his other work before you commit if you can.
