Then why not design it to conform to it? Seems like that would make more sense and much better, snug look.

Have you looked closely at the front bumper of the tC? It curves in at the bottom on the sides. The difficulty level behind that, and quite frankly, I would think it would come out looking stupid. No one ever notices that little stuff anyway. It's about WHOLE car presentation.

I'm not ragging on the car, but just the lip itself. And to say no one notices the little stuff is quite weird. Why post close ups then? That's how the little stuff is seen. It does look good far away, but up close you can see all the mistakes. I would just think that being a snug fit that acutally looked like it fit the car would look better than a gap.

^^nothings ever perfect. I care more about going fast anyway. the only close-up you would ever see of the car is if it was sitting still.....lol

In this situation that is exactly the case. Not sure what the dispute is about. I was just stating the obvious and it seems to have struck a nerve. I just feel, in my opinion, if you get a body kit, it should look like part of the body of the car, not just a bolted on piece of "plastic" or whatever it is made of.

That's fine man, no biggie. I care more about our turbo, then wether or not there is a small gap on the sides of a lip that is non-conforming CF...

Yeah, that's cool. Definately an extremely nice car and I would definately be staring at it at a car show. I was just commenting on the close up pic.

No hard feelings. Still looks very nice.

If I really wanted to be **** retentive about it, you can always take some Epoxy resin and dab it on the Lip and the bumper on the sides, and press and hold until it's cured. But I'm not that **** retentive...lol

Yeah, plus, if you decide to take it off, there goes your paint. My gf's brother knows a few body shop friends that do molded kits with full bondo attachment and repaint. I was going to do something like that later to make it all look like an original body part. Not sure about that though. I want a custom paint job that is a deep redish tone but we'll see.

You can do that with the Fiberglass version of the RS1 lip. What I am truly waiting on though, is a FULL CF OEM version of the front bumper. I would take that in a heart beat. Or hell, just ANY full bumper in CF if it looked good.

You wouldn't want CF then if you get snow drifts...

^^^Because the snow could possibly break the lip? I figured it would be sturdier than that.

I would think now that CF is like fiberglass and with extremely cold temps it would be more prone to cracking when hit.
