This may be the most absurd thing that I have ever heard, but I thought that I would ask before I just shrug it off. I have the Scion tC car cover from the dealership, and a friend from around where I live at told me that putting a car cover on a car in the summer could somehow damage the paint, all depending on what the car cover is made out of. Is this true?

 

that sounds so stupid. why would Scion sell a car cover that will ruin your paint? smack your friend.

 

yeah ivheard sumthin like that probly thats the case with the cheap covers but not sure bout the scion ones

 

I doubt a car cover that came from the factory would damage your paint. I would think the complete opposite. The cover does protect the car from UV rays and that's a good thing.
