I'm assuming you're talking about a hood?

Either way, yes. Carbon fiber is protected by resin, so you'll be cleaning that. Take care to use a special kind of wax on it however.

just get the mother's claybar kit, comes with the spray wax you'll use while claying.

Seriously all C/F products only have a gel coat, not a clear coat. While it will last a bit, it will diminish very quickly and look like crap. But it's your money not mine. I'd get some clear coat on it or spray it body color.
