Default Carbon Fiber Heatsheild question

I know most of you used screws to help hold it in, but has anyone just used 3m tape? I want one but I want a smooth install and want to remove it without leaving holes in my bumper.

anyone just use 3m?

I can tell you that 3m double stick tape is very strong and weatherproof, you should be alright

Oh, oops. I was too when I made this post. I'm talking abou the exhaust sheilds for your tip that go on your bumper. Some dude on ebay makes them and they're a good quality, atleast thats what I have heard.

OH! okay.. those... that helps clear it up ALOT.

yeah.. something that small, just a bit of good 3m stuff will definitely hold it in.
that stuff is rated to hold 5 lbs/sq. in. after all!

just be sure to clean the area it's going to be applied to.. you want that 5 lbs to be holding between the bumper and the shield.... not dirt or dust..
