Default Carbon Fiber Hood RollCall

I'm seeing CF hoods for $300 and other brands for $500, and others for $700ish. A $300 CF hood makes me nervous cos when it's THAT cheap, it makes me think it's gonna fade or bake in the sun, or do something else like I bought it at a K-Mart clearance. Anyone having problems with their carbon fiber hoods? Whether you are or not, I wanna know what brand you have, how long you've had it, and how it's wearing.

I've got a MotorFX OEM style hood. Had it for about a year now, no fading or cracking...probably 'cause I wax the car every two weeks or so.

I have a bbist CF hood on the way, I know there are very well made.

The resons I went that route is quality and even more so, the big CF section on the underside where I can put all our sponsors decals so they are seen at shows. We are going to have the outer surface painted stock color for stealthyness;)

i've checked at different car shows and compared the quality with the cheaper one.. and have not seen to much of a difference.. i also see wrinkles in the name brand cf hoods.. and that really suprised me... as long as its grade A and they use the proper type of resin.. it will look and last great.. i got from my sponsor a cf oem style hood for $290 and i think thats the best advertised price.. well he only gives that price to me and who i refer to...

here are the pics of my hood.. my friend and sp0t already have the hood.. they are made to order

this is the site.. its more expensive on the site.. so let me kno and i can hook u up

he can get a lot more stuff for the tc.. just so busy to post up the stuff.

Would you mind posting a picture of the bbist hood? Also did it come with the windshield nossles predrilled? I would really like to see the C/F roof as well

jay_jay, can you take some pix of the inside of the hood?
I might be interested in one, and I'm close...

Thanks,
Scott

It has not arrived yet, no idea on the holes. Not the best picture but they are very well made.

inside of the hood looks exactly like the stock hood except with the foamy thing covering it.. the latch is molded onto the hood.

I am VERY interested but would need one with pre-drilled nozzles. Let me know if thats possible.

Is the latch strong enough so you wont have to run hood pins?

I got the N1 Hood from AIT racing. Looks pretty sweet in my opinion. Got it for $500 about 2 months ago.. so far looks great. Only thing is the underside isnt that pretty.
