hey guys i have a cf heatshield for my exhaust and im thinking on getting a full oem lipkit do you think the rear will fit with my heatshield?



what do you guys think?

 

i think it should since the heat shield fits to the shape of the bumper. im sure that a part of the lip will cover the cfpart tho.

 

I was told it only properly fits with stock bumper not lips

 

Where did you get the heatshield from? I've been wanting to get one for a while now.

this is correct only if you are trying to put the sheild on after the rear lip is already on the car, if you put the shield on first and then the lip i think itll work.

 

yea itll work but the lip will stick over the shield a little but im sure it wont look bad or anything.

 

I don't think it'll work. Personally, I would have it molded to the lip instead. Looks better, IMO.

He does (or did). It is (or was) the RS1 lip kit.

 

i only have the rear of the lip on now. the front is f'd up and the side has a little crack

 

ive got the OEM rear lip on the way to me now and have the heat shield. you cant put the shield over the lip but im pretty sure the lip will go over the shield, not sure hows its gonna look though, ill find out in a couple weeks.

and not bashing or anything...but why do you even need the heatshield? looks like your running stock exhaust...?

 

^^ oh i have a dezod n/a catback. it was close to my bumper and it kinda burned the paint there. so i decided to get one. its oem style i guess. love the custom 08 tails btw
