Just wondering how you guys have had them hold up. I really would like to get a CF hood but am afraid of my turbo setup damaging it. Im close to 400whp, however running E85 has significantly cut down on EGT's also my mani and DP is wrapped. However, wafter Ive beat on it for awhile, the hood gets hot enough to the point where I can barely touch it. Anyone know how well a CF hood would hold up? I was thinking about going with a vented Seibon hood.

Since when did WHP have anything to do with how hot your hood gets?

Anyways, wrap the turbo. You'll also be fine with a C/F hood, and you can even add insulation to the underside if you desire.

 

Do you monitor your IATs (Intake Air Temperatures)? An OBD II scan tool with live data acquisition is able to monitor this. I'd be interested to see how yours compare. I just ordered a vented CF hood for the very reason that engine bay temps get up there.
