Default Changing the front grill

Im thinking about changing my frong grill. The one right under the hood, currently with the scion logo. I want to make it just a plain black grill, and have the VVT-i emblem on the right side of the grill. I think i have seen someone with that, and i love the look. If you do have this done, can you post a link, or pic? Also how hard is it to remove the grill

Big_Bird is right, I changed my grill and all it is like 6-7 tabs. A flathead screwdriver was helpfull to me in order to push the tabs down. Once you got almost all the tabs, just push the grill in and then if you tilt it you can pull it out without removing the bumper.

you could, but i would recomment powder coating something like a grill because of the abuse it will take.

id recommend grillcraft ( www.grillcraft.com ) and i think namotorosports.com (i think thats the website) sells them a little cheaper. sae grills i have (in black). ive had them for almost 2 years now and i love them

tcmonroe, get them powder coated, rattle canning them will work for about a week, or until you wash your car. and don't buy the grillcraft because it's not a replacement, it's a "cover", kind of like a grill hubcap.

Figure LLC on eBay sells replacement grills in almost any color u want. They are also flush mounted to the front bumper to give it a meaner look. Jus search Figure LLC on eBay.

Theres a couple screws on the top one, about 4-6.

Bottom just punches out.

Theres a link in the last day or two for doing a black-out using a cut up factory grille. FIG grilles are all over the place too.

you sir, are incorrect to the fullest. according to the directions, it has the bottom grill mounted by itself, and the upper infront of the stock grill. but if your crafty like myself, you can use all the included hardware that comes with the grill to mount it without the stock grill. see my pics if you doubt it. all you need to so is take the one screw clip they give you, "clip" it to the bumper, screw the grill to the clip, and your done. grill craft is one of if not the best grill on the market for the tC IMO.

Check my profile pictures, I believe I have one of my front end. It is a 4 piece Grillcraft Grill. It cost like 240. I got the bottom 3 pieces first so I actually had to drop the bumber and drill some holes in the bumper for the grill to hold. The top piece I just used a small ___ screwdriver to have enough room to maneuver, betweeen my radiator and grill.

I guess it just depends how you wanted your car to look, i took everything out and made it a replacement. I've seen it on other tc's the same way I did it.
