cheap paint!
wow... that must have been one heavy dropping. i'm sure the acidity of the bird dropping had something to do with it too. if u don't clean that crap up quick, it eats through and leaves marks.
I had that happen on my truck once; not too bad, but I noticed it. The bird had apparently ate A LOT of blackberries (Bright purple-blue with seeds still intact). Guess it was really acidic and kinda ate the paint. Nasty.
Typically....some birds eat pebbles to help digest.
If you catch it early enough you can just spray it off with a water bottle kept in the car. If not... DO NOT SCRUB IT. Spray off as much as u can with the hose....not super high pressure! If it comes down to having to use a car mitt or sponge wipe it one way. Be gentle! No swirls cause it will just smear whatever is in the poop around the paint to make it stand out more.
If you want to do it another way use the Bug and Tar remover stuff on it. Let it sit for about 30 seconds or so then spray off with the hose.
If it still remains...well...WTH do the birds eat around there?

Bird poop is slightly acidic, so the longer you leave it on there, the more likely your paint will be ruined. Also, birds that live closer to an ocean tend to have more acidic poop. Acid + car paint = messed up paint job.
