Possibly but particles that contain impurities within the clear coat are extremely tiny. I guess every cent counts though with gas prices these days.

a dirty car compared to a clean car though... the difference in mileage is quite a bit higher than that.

clean car vs. perfectly smooth and clayed car... sure. maybe that little... but it does add up.

 

Make sure you claybar all the glass, makes the car look even cleaner.

 

its a real pain in the @$$ i had the hardest time claybaring the inside of the windshield...let alone wiping it off with micro and cotton cloth.

i'll claybar and tint next time on the back.

yes you can claybar the rims, but sure its not the same bar that you use for your paint though.

Does claying the inside of the windshield really help? The outside, sure, it gets bug guts and road grime on it. The inside of my windshield is pretty smooth already.

 

It's not worth the effort to clay the inside of the windshield, but it would help if your car is really dusty inside. I usually just use a glass cleaner.

 

(buzzer sounds) i'm going to have to call a ref on this one. please post technical data on the difference in gas mileage between a dirty car and a clean one.
