^^ Agreed, I've seen/heard horror stories with regular car bras, Plus, if your running an aftermarket lip kit, like myself, then your pretty much boned. I decided to get my front end clear bra-d, and I'm really happy with the result! You can't even see it, and it protects my investment =D If anyone in the SoCal area is looking to get it done, I'd highly recommend SpalSheild, Check out their website at www.spalshield.com , You'll be really happy with the workmanship as well as the product!

Go for the clear bra but NOT the clear laminate one. There is a new clear bra out there that is sprayed onto your car and protects it...kind of like a clear coat but way better at protecting the paint surface.

having both a tc with and one without clearbra, both black, living in vegas, i can say yes the paint chips frequently. noticable? not easily unless you're looking for chips. but im a very detail oriented guy. i do notice them because i'm a car guy, and i hand wash my car. but to the average person, the car looks fine. clearbra is expensive. worth the expense? not sure. its only as worth it as you think it is, avoiding chips probably only you will notice.

just remember, there is no investing in your car. its a black hole for money. so again, only as worth it as you think it is.

I got a clear bra the day I bought my car. Almost two years later and the front looks like brand new. I got the front bumper, front fenders, rocker panels, door liners, side mirrors, under the door handles, and the entire hood for around $500. Just research the different brands, not all are the same.

I don't know much about clear bra but I do know is if I get my front end repainted, I'm getting one. My car is gonna be 2 years old next month with a little over 33,000 miles on it. The front of my car looks like butt because of how many bugs I hit. (Cleveland, OH freeway + Lake Erie = BUGS & Seagulls...) Definately recommend something along the lines of clear bra. I didn't know something like this existed when I first got the car otherwise I woulda gotten it the first week of the car.

I started reading SL even before I ordered my tC last year. Mucho posts about chipped front ends from bugs & rocks. So my car had clear bra on before it ever saw a highway.

Probably the best decision I've made with the car.
