What's the trick? I just use trial-and-error until I get them where I like them.
No matter how much I angle, I have to look over before I change lanes.
I adjust the passenger mirror so I can see the lane over, but if a car is right up behind in the next lane on the passenger side, hes invisible in the mirror. I have to look out the rear quarter panel window.

for me its a give and take thing, If I adjust it to see the rear qtr section, I lose visibility from farther away vehicles in the next lane.

If they are set right, you dont have to look through the rear quarter panel. If you see the side of your car in the side mirrors, they are not adjusted properly. I have never found a need to see the side of my own car while driving Here is the way to start:

1) Rear view mirror should be looking straight back, dead center

2) Lean your head close to the driver side window (while sitting in the car of course) and adjust the driver side mirror out until you can only barely see a tad of he side of your car in it. When you sit straight again you should not see any of hte car in it

3) Lean your head over to he center of the car and do the same thing with the passenger side mirror.

Now, when someone is coming up to pass you, you should see them in the rear view mirror, then the side mirror and finally, out of your window. You know they are right when a car that is half way in your rear view mirror is also half way in your side mirror. So basically the three mirrors act like one large panoramic mirror.

So a scenario... I am driving as a car is coming up on the right lane. I see them fully in my rear view. Next, I see one headlight in the rear view and one in the side view. They finally dissapear from my rear view and are totally in the side view mirror. As they leave the side view mirror I begin seeing them straight out the side window.

Works like a charm.

thanks for the update. I am a it concerned as I did get into this not just for the look but for the Convex as well. I was under the impression these would be Technically functional as convex mirrors with the blue tint. Both are very attractive buying points for me.

If this will offer no technical advantage at all it's really not worth the $50 to me. I wanted to get rid of the small Convex stick ons I have now

Personally I was expecting similar to the photos

I am down for a set, the way my car sits & as dark as the rear tint is, anything will help. I have major blind spots no matter how the side or rearview is adjusted.

just to be clear I was just getting worried by the posts and what I was reading The Demo photos looked pretty much the same as the OEM but for a very slight tint.

I really have no intention of being the complainer or doubting Thomas Not tying to stir the pot I have a rep for doing that at times.

The problem with the demo photos, is the angle and that there is nothing being reflected in the mirror.

i got these more for the convex factor thinking that it would be better to drive with but I guess I never had my mirrors set right. I always some of the side of my car in view as a reference to where I was looking.

i still think they look nice though and since all the lights on my car have blue tint on them to match the car this should match great anyway.

I forget where I read but when they the side mirrors are blue its to better in the rain and also reduces glare.

And if you are looking over your shoulder when you switch lanes then you are doing exactly when dmv teaches you lol

There was traffic on the interstate and it was gridlock & I was in the middle lane so I just adjusted my mirrors so I could see cars in both lanes without having to move....hence why i only use my side mirrors......rearview is useless because of the 5% tint.

Dont worry, these are anti-glare convex mirrors...
