Oh but dude window tint was never going to work. If you wanted to tint with out VHT, use tail light film like bluebat uses. You can get some raw vinyl from stickercity.com and try that but if I were you just wait and paint.

ive used testors mdel spray before but that stuff doesnt let nearly as much light through as the nightshades.
but might have some possible good news for everyone!
it was slightly warmer today so we decided to give it another try.
1 continued cracking but the other is looking decent after 3 or 4 coats.
so hopefully tomm i will sand out a couple little runs and give it another good coat of VHT then clear it and everything will be painted, just needs to be re-assembled.
not making any promises because idk how the weathers gonna be tomm and im working on a bunch of other interior projects for my car.
ill keep u guys posted!

not yet.
srry but the weather is still to cold.
1 of the parts worked one night, but the next day it was to cold to conitnue progress on it.
hopefully these should be done within the next couple weeks if the temp. keeps climbing.

Nice little project you have going on there. I have thought about doing something similar to mine but in FM. Nice to see someone got the guts and decided to cut the tails open. Well good luck my friend on this and hope to see some finished pictures soon.
take them inside if its to cold outside. also, when applying the vht, do it in very light thin coats and allow time to dry in between, if you do too much on one coat, itll be all thick and runny and prolly crack like that. i cant wait to see them finished though

thanks man.
im not pleased with how they look up close.
theres a little bit of paint here and there where it should be.
some of the tape lines are kinda crooked.
but i feel confident that if i get another pair i wouldnt make the same mistakes again now that i know.
