I know some people around here have made their own and I think someone even sells some custom made clear blinker guards to replace the orange ones that come with normal headlights. I have some after-market lights that I would like to make some clear corners for. Does anyone know someone who will custom make them for me if I send them my orange ones as a template. Or what materials that I need to try and make my own?

I don't know about Florida, but in Kansas, i'm pretty sure there has to be a yellow blinker guard. I'm not 100% certain on that, but i'm pretty sure thats right.

Do a search on "clearing corners". That is the term when they take the orange section out of the lights. I have never seen or heard of a clear guard or anything else to replace them. And yes, it is illegal in all 50 states to not have the amber corner. It is a DOT rule. Tomas can quote you chapter and verse on that one!

and yes... removing your amber reflectors is illegal in most, if not all, states

 

yeah, people still do the mod though, cops here in olathe, dont mess around, 10 STi's on order, dodge chargers, and one of the biggest reasons is: my high school

 

Dont forget to Check the Blinker Fluid too!!!...

what if you put an orange bulb in intead of an orange reflector...would that still make it illegal?

 

I have seen that---It might be legal at that..........but I think it has to reflect amber.....

You could have LEDs set as running lights. This way there will be orange LEDs constantly on. Have enough of them to cover a nice area of the reflector and maybe you could get away with it. But I mean come on, how many cops are actually gonna go ape ____ over a couple cleared reflectors?
