I know... Doesn't it suck!?!?! Ohwell, I went with 35% all around because it isn't that dark. So far no problems with the popo's. I was driving right next to one today, and frantically made a left turn so I could just get away from him, lol.

 

But anyways, back onto topic. I would leave the windshield alone, you'll pay for it in the end if you actually get it tinted for her, either by losing your own daughter due to vision problems at night, etc (worst case scenerio) or having to pay a shop $ to get it taken off, or take it off yourself - and good luck with that last one!

Bottom line, don't tint the windshield.

 

Our cops are too lazy to get out of their cars anyway.

The other day, I was speeding and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a cop sitting on the side of the road. I was going about 15mph over and it was too late to slow down, BUT HE DIDNT STOP ME!

 

It's also nice KNOWING some of the cops around the area you live in. That's always a bonus. I've gotten out of a couple tickets - None were for speeding. All stupid crap. EX: Not using a turn signal. lol

 

But not to jump off topic... Most cops are lazy and don't care (like MJVsTC said), but I still wouldn't risk the tint!

I had limo tint (5%) done on my rear 3 windows yesterday and I like it a lot.

imo...

Pros:
People cannot see what's in my hatch (audio system).
It makes my BSP look very sleek.
Never having to flip the rear view mirror from blinding headlights at night.

Cons:
Cannot reverse park safely.
Cannot reverse out of a parking spot safely.
Blind spot is now blind x 100.
Visibility from the inside in general.

I plan on investing in a rear camera to aid myself because I simply have a hard time seeing through the tint while in low light areas.

 

hehe yeah 5% sounds way too dark. How would 20% all around look? I'm thinking of getting this..

i would do 5 for the rear 3 and 30 for the front and leave the windshield alone. i wouldn't do 5 for the front because it might make it hard to see at night and tinting the windshield is dumb, it cant be that bright in IN.

 

I really don't see how cops around here would care so much on the % of tint for her car that I will get soon. Even some of the fricking cop cars tint is really dark. Cheating bastards! I just the sleek look of tint on a black car. It will take some getting used to for her, because of the blindspots, but I believe there won't be any problems. Once again, thanks everyone for their input and I really enjoy reading all of these comments, both pros/cons. I shall post the pics when it's ready.

im amazed and disgusted by the fact you even thought of limo tinting your daughter's windshield.....when she dies in a car wreck because of it, maybe you'll wake up about it. KEEP HER WINDSHIELD STOCK.

your daughter's car looks good with a tint on every single window, and she possibly dies.

or

your daughters car looks just as good with a stock windshield and 20-30% all around, and she's alive.

2) Pulled over because my car was "too low" with my whopping 1.4" drop
3) Inspection violation, since my exhaust was not "OEM Look, Sound, Size or quality"
4) Neon violation - WHILE I WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY!!
5) Speeding for 10 over on an interstate
6) Pulled over for my whopping 35% tint
7) Inspection violation for my CAI

I hate cops, they are a bunch of self-righteous pigs who have nothing better to do than screw with people
