Default def a good idea to be fused.

I'm using cold cathodes as my under body kit. It's been working great so far except once when I got a little water in a transformer but I fixed that no problem. Now. Every time I come back from some sort of maintenance where my car was on a jack i turn the lights on to see if they're all still intact. well this time i forgot to turn them off Anyway I go to turn them on at night and notice the switch is up... but no lights. Ok I figure the fuse blew, so I check the fuse and sure enough it's blown. I replace it and the driver side is a no go. It was late so I just took the fuse out and decided to check it out the next day. Today I take the transformer out of the water proof seal I made (zip tied sandwich bag, ghetto I know, but it worked for like 3 months) and find that one of the ports that go to the cathodes is black. Take out the transformer and the blown cathode and take them apart.

My God a burnt transformer smells. Holy shhh. The transformer is burnt out in a few spots on the board. I'm not sure if it overheated because it was in the sandwich bag since it was on for a few hours or if it was the cathode(There were some water droplets in the cathode tube which weren't there earlier that day.) The other cathode is fine so I'm assuming it was the water in the cathode. But its kinda weird that one cathode has so much water in it while the other one has non what so ever. Wish I could take pics but my camera is MIA. Any thoughts on this?
