The only concern I have is the angle on the left side. It looks like the lights fan up on the left - which looks like it might give a bit of glare to oncoming drivers.

The do look very nice though.

Well if its an ES300 Halogen its not much of a competition. Other than a very select few Valeo H7 projectors, most halogen projectors have very poor output when compared to even the weak output projectors like the E46 single Xenon.

that is because their lense absorbs some of the lights. I closely looked at a clear halogen projector of a subaru tribeca, and i noticed that it has alot of prismy lines inside the glass, no not the ripples on the outer layer of the lense, it's a clear smooth lense, but there are these weird things that i can't seem to explain. Next time you see a tribeca, go up to it and look at it

i have been gettin so much rain up here lately

how is your lights holding up? did u add additional sealers to your headlamp?

Well the lense ripples you see are most likely fernsel lines. Fernsel line lenses are created from taking a much larger convex lense spitting it into sections along the focal length and compressing them together into a smaller lense. By doing this you create a more intense magnification but you lose things such as color and sharpness but you gain more even light distribution and more intensity normally. But if thats not what you saw, it was most likely just a frosting built into the lense design to reduce intensity. But its most likely fernsel lenses just a smooth exterior instead of being rippled.

My lights are doing great it has been rain alot here to and i've power washed my car twice since the lights and so far not leaks or fogging. And no i added no additional sealers 99% of the time you don't need to its just an extra precaution i've found isn't needed.

I wish I could pay somone to do this to my stockers. Its just awsome. I have the helix dual halo dual projectors in now with hid's. But a true hid setup with a nice prejector would own.

it's so much fun that i gotta say tell u to do it yourself!

I started knowing nothing. now i know how to use some power tools, some electrical stuff. I can even explain why HIDs are blue during start up and goes away after a few seconds! LOL

sure i messed up some things here and there, but it's a learning experience for me. I probably will do it again.
