yeah not a problem, im gonna probably do it next monday, i have to find and LED light that will not only fit but be bright enough to be worth the effort.

 

i say one good superflux should be bright enough... just drill out a nice place for it

that and oznium does have one all nice and prewired up too now..

was thinking of using that myself.

 

i was trying to get a hold of paul (whiteblazer) to see if he had anything, he's pretty close to me, anything i need LED wise i go through him and just pick it up locally. he hasnt got back to me yet though.

 

is there a dome light wire or something inside the door panel that you can tap the led into ? so when u unlock, it will be on. ..

 

not inside the door... you'll need to wire it into the car from the door.

 

you have to tap into the dome light control thats inside the car in the dash. the domes are ground triggered and thats what gives the gradient effect. i'll post a complete step by step once im done(wire hook ups, handle removal, everything..) with pics. im sure a lot of people will be interested in doing this.

 

saves me the time to write something up ... :D

this will be my next fun mod hehe .. i hate the dome light circuit .. cant rewire my switches to it

 

i ordered the white prewired superflux's right now, should be here next week some time, i'll start on the mod then.

If I just wanted to remove the door handle, I wouldn't need to remove those 3 screws in step 2 right? What are those 3 screws holding anyway?

 

If you want to remove the entire handle, remove the lock mechanism then pull the handle towards the back of the car and pull it out like you are opening the door, should come right out.
