Default Eyelid Help!

So I bought me a pair of eyelids for my tC.
However, I'm a huge failure and messed up my first eyelid in a about 45 seconds...

I know alot of people on here have eyelids and I was wondering if you guys could offer me some help/advice. Cause I really don't wanna mess up AGAIN.

A tutorial would be awesome. ;)
But anything is appreciated.

Thanks!

vinyl im assuming?
spray a soap and water solution onto the the headlight first, then apply the vinyl and use a squeegee and blow dryer to get the water out from underneath.

Do as yellow said. Sometimes you have to reset it and use the hairdryer to heat the vinyl and stretch it. I did a dual layer and it is the most annoying thing ever. Having to put a vinyl ontop of another vinyl was not fun at all.

Thanks for the feedback.
One problem I noticed when I was trying to put the eyelid on, was that the headlight would dry up really fast.
And the stretching the vinyl part was a pain. -.-

its should need to be stretched all that much.
like i said, spray the soap and water on there, its so that you can move the vinyl around and get it in the right place.

It's best if you have 2 people. One working the vinyl and the other with a spray bottle with a soapy water mixture with a hairdryer. Just have the other person keep spraying the headlight. It does seem to dry pretty quick at this time of year.

when I did mine I just let my car sit out in the sun for about 2 hours so the surface would get warm, I didn't really need the blow dryer then. When I sprayed the soap/water mixture I SOAAAKED it and just held the vinyl where I wanted it and squeegeed. Either way works but it just takes practice.

you dont use the blowdryer so the surface is warm...

you use it so the vinyl heats up and becomes a little more flexible, that way you dont get creases.

Yeah, I think I'm gunna have my friend help me out this time, haha.
Also, when I finally had it in the place I wanted it, stretching it out would just move it out of place...
Which is always fun..

Ya you have to learn how to get one area completely dry and let it cool that way it actually sticks and the adhesive isn't loose. When I did the double layer, the top layer was instantly sticking to the bottom layer even if it was wet sonwhen I peeled up the top layer to readjust, the bottom layer would come up to...

it takes practice and patience. i did the tail lights of my old car with vinyl and i used windex and sprayed a bunch on in one area and worked that one area with a heat gun so it would stretch and once i got that one area on nice and tight i then worked on stretching the vinyl all the way across and stuck it on nice and then went back and adjusted what needed to be adjusted
