i had my eyelids painted on my headlights when i got my bodykit repainted. the color matches exactly and it shiny too cause of the clearcoat.

So the paint is directly on the headlights? Or on poly 'lids that are on the lights?

its right on the top of the headlight. i had the bodyshop tape the bottom of the headlight off and spray the eyelid on. the headlight already has the line mark on there so it was easy for the body shop to do. he charged me like $20 extra since i was painting the bodykit anywayz. here a pic (although a bad on)

Gotcha. Any problems with the paint chipping? How long ago did you ahve that done?

i was also thinking about painting them on but didn't know how it would hold up. how many miles do you have on them?

i have cf eyelids from ebay and there real good and look really nice you can sorta see them in my profile pics but i'm not really sure but if you do buy em just make sure you have a good heat gun DON'T put it up to full heat and have some patience you also may have to keep moving them yo get perfect fitment

A heatgun is probably overkill. I bet a common hair dryer would work just fine and would be more accessable to most members.

almost 1 year now and no chipping whatsoever. it looks like it did when it first got painted. the only drawback to painting on eyebrows is its not reversible like vynal eyelids. ppl flip out when they see that my eyelids are painted on.
