And how did you install the grill? I did mine and i get this bulge due to the scion sign area place......and makes my grill mesh thing stick out and almost comes off at the top.

thanks and your car looks hella hot~
Thanks! The paint was done by a guy in our group. It is auto paint and then he cleared it. I went with Viper GT pearl blue. I had the same paint color on my truck and liked it so much I thought I would do the tC also.

The grill was a drag. Took me a couple of days. Lots of prefab and cutting. I made 2 or 3 layouts of the grill before I did the insert. You have to dremel out the logo so the grill is flat. Once that is done it is just a matter of fitting and refitting the grill until it sits right. The bottum one was easy. All I did was wrap the stock black grill and mounted it back in place. If you have any other questions you can PM me.

Good luck.

hello! its been a while since i posted here. but i like your car so much ive decided to. like i said, you got a sweet ride but there's just one thing off for me. its the chrome ring around your grill.

now for quite a while now people have doing their grills over and i used to love the look but it never quite looked right on the tc to me. i just found out why! its the chrome ring, it needs to be painted. Either black but probably to match the paint.

I think if you do that itll look 1000x better.

well, thats obviously exagerated but, here's my logic behind it. the chrome on chrome clashes, also if you look at something (say the altezza) it has a mesh grill, yea the mesh is black but its clean looking because the ring around it matches the color of the car. i dont know if my facts are straight or anything. ive been jetlagged and havent had sleep in 24 hours so im not all here.

Good call. You know I never thought of that. If I knew I could take it all apart without screwing up the way it looks I might do that. I will have to check it out. Thanks for the input.

Now do us a favor.......get some sleep!!!!

I beleive he used Sherwin-Williams Auto paint. Painted and cleared. It has been about 5 months in the Arizona heat and still looks as good as the day he did it. Ironically enough it came out to match my intake perfectly.
