I'm going to start doing my body modifications, and i was just wondering if we can get like buckets of our stock colors. my modifications will be just on the bumpers, so i don't want to have to respray the whole car. Does anyone know if we can order paint directly from toyota? or will i have to get a shop to match my paint and have it off and then my perfectionist self will hate it and then i'll have to repaint the whole car?

buckets! WHOA! What in the world are you painting! SOunds like you can just get a couple pints. that will do the job. Make sure you get the color codes, which are usually located on the door panels.

 

I went to the dealer and they are only allowed to give those "touch up paints". It's against enviromental laws for them to sell aerosol type paint directly, only through paint shops

 

bring the color codes to a paint shop and have them mix it up for you. if you can have a test panel sprayed before painting your parts to see if they match. when i had my car painted i asked the shop to give me the left over paint.
