any help would be appreciated!

I have an 08 tc and I wanted to make a few lighting changes. Sylvania makes silverstar front turn signal lights, theyre bluish coated bulbs that still light up amber. does anyone know what bulb size the 08's use? I looked in the manual, but no luck.

License plate lights, i wanted to swap mine out, they shine too yellow on my SW...is there a superwhite or led light i can replace them with?

(asking this for a friend) back to the silverstars...for headlights, does anyone have these? Are they that big of an improvement over the oem halogens? Do any other components need to be added? Or are they just plug and play?

The front turn signals are a 7440. As for the HID install, it is not very hard, just take your time and map out the connections before you start. Silverstars are plug and play, but I heard that they don't make it in an H11...if your friend has an 08 also. All those "superwhite" bulbs are a waste of money, tell your friend to go with HIDs also.

 

thanks! Do you know what I could do about the license plate lights? I know the size is 168 but I can't find anything that isn't a yellowish/white colored bulb.

How long did it take you to do the HID install? And the turn signal size, 7440 is def for an 08 right(

 

Get LED's -- they come in any color u want

 

i just got an 08 and HIDs too.. 6000k form Mobile HID, they rock
its easy to install just look at a guide from here and its simple

for the license plate lights and all my other lights i got LEDs from http://superbrightleds.com/ look in the manual and it tells u the light sizes

its 168 for the map, front dome and parking lights..

164/168 are generally the same so u can look at a more broader selection. the hid install for my 08 was a simple hour or so for hids in my lows and fogs. but most of the time was trying to find where to mount the ballasts.

 

They come in all colors. What color are you looking for? I have hyperwhite, but you can also get them in red, green, blue, or whatever. Some colors will be illegal though.

I got the WLED-x6 LED Wedge Base Bulbs in Cool White.

HID install, 30 mins for a quick install... maybe an hour for special mounting (i placed mine down inside the front bumper on the side of the front lower support). Extremely simple! If you have changed a bulb, you can install HIDS.
