Default Thanks for the input

Alex.... you da man! Appreciate you getting this out there so quickly and working the Q and A.

To clarify.... from the source.... this kit will be as real as it can get. I will make sure it is a 100% representation of Five Axis quality and workmanship hence the price tag.

Yes... the tentative price is high when compared proportionally to the cost of the car. BUT this is a multi piece, multi material, LIMITED PRODUCTION scenario here. The main reason I asked Alex to put this out there was due to the numerous inquiries I have recieved regarding this kit.

Remember... this widebody was never intended to be a consumer level kit. It is a one off show piece. I have only contemplated doing this in a limited production to satisfy those who can appreciate the opportunity of owning a unique limited piece like this.

NO it is not an insult to the Scion commmunity, NO I am not trying to make a boat load of cash off anywone.... This wouldn't be the way to do it.

I just wanted to see if my intuition was right and it seems so. But I appreciate the honesty in your opinions and even the ones... ha

Keep them coming and I will keep checking in.

AND thanks for the support.... as Verone said we have more coming so keep your eyes open.

well i'll agree with you on one thing... its is unique... it gives the car new look like : "I can go 220mph" look...

I'm glad you don't take offense to the comments but since the molds are well paid for... I dunno..

That's like asking the Wendy's Finger Chili Lady to wear a Dolce and Gabana gown to court.
It's a lot of money put onto a relatively cheap car.

I applaude anyone who does it and I would have less objection to the cost if there were a couple of sponsorships put out for it. That to me would seem to balance the cost in some weird way.

I'm not one to talk, I will buy a $5000 watch for no reason other than it looks good.

Just to clarify, the og molds are gone and we would have to retool completely to make this limited production kit. This is part of the cost driver too.... to amortize the cost of molds over the limited amount of kits produced.

Not sure who the Wendy's Finger Chili Lady is but if she's wearing D&G to court she's probably not worth knowing.

I hear you man and that's why the poll is out there. Just like the $5000 watch, everyone has a price the are willing to pay to make their statement.... We're just looking to see if they are out there and who they are.

It is going to take a long time for another kit out there to even come close to the originality and look of this setup- I applaude them for entertaining the idea to do this.
The wheels help make it what it is, and I think without the availability of them (are they one-off's too?) it would sour the concept look for me anyways...

Howa bout getting together with Scion, and offering the full shebang, wheels, body kit, painted, installed warrantied etc for say $5000 above sticker. Kinda like Yenko or Shelby, Hurst, AMG, etc ...looks instead of performace mods though....yea right Toyota would love that.
I would sell my RS 1.0 in a heartbeat for that upgrade...

Anyways, really like the kit-
Good luck-

no that does not include paint..

troy, if u ever want to do a xB again let me know i am 100% down..i know the scion community is cheap, but im a car builder and i just happen to build a scion this time around. I dont have a tC but a xB. I cant believe people arent hopping on this, if i had a tC i would totally pay for this widebody as i know your work is top notch. My friends pay 8k just for body parts for rare japanese widebodies for their supras and etc. 3500 w/ the carbon i find reasonable for the quality and look that it provides. I just cant see why people dont see that then again, scion is a small budget car...ever look into doing 350Z's evo's and sti's? i know those cats got $$$ to spend....

I can't really say the body kit is expensive. Compared to the price of the car maybe, but this is art of work. If you guys just knew how much effort is needed too creat such a wide body kit you will probaly say "wow this is so inexpensive". The price sounds very reasonable to me, but that doesn't mean i can affoard it or i'm going to buy it. But if there are some of you out there that want to be in HIN or any car show or just get some attention this is the kit you would want to get. BTW i'm not related to Five Axis Desing, i just admire their work and effort they have done to the Scion Community. Thanks
