Default fixing headlight scratches??

ok long story short. i got hit today. not bad just light scratches. but mostly the headlight. how would i go about fixing that? i think i've seen this one thing at the stores that "restores" foggy headlights or what not. do you think something like that will work?

If your scratches aren't all that deep, try using Megiuar's Scratch-X...it does a good job on minor scratches.

Scratch-X is designed specifically for paint. If you apply it to plastics such as a headlight and allow it to dry for a few minutes it could stain onto the headlight.

Use Meguiar's Plast-X. This IS designed specifically for plastics such as headlights, taillights, iPods, phone screens, etc. Just keep in mind that it might or might not work right away. Best to apply more than 1 coat onto the headlight and work it in. You have to keep shaking it up and working it in with a lot of elbow grease for good results.

If the scratches are really deep, you may want to try the wet sanding technique. Wet down the headlight, and start with a low grade paper, and work your way up to a more fine paper. After that, use rubbing compound and then PlastX. I did this to my Uncle's VW (notorious for hazing) and it turned out really nice.
