to get rid of rock chips on bumper, and hood,
estimated price is about 8xx dollars.
they want to repaint the whole thing.
and i have a scratch on my side skirt due to people scratching it while getting on and off the car.
that is additional 2xx dollars
i tried scratch x but its a deep scratch so i will have to change side skirt
the rock chips on bumper and hood aren't too bad
maybe I can buy matched paint and paint a lilttle? has anyone done that?
any way that i can fix these small scratches?
has anyone done it and how much did it cost you?

by the way, I am willing to buy passenger side's side skirt if anyone is willing to sell it to me... but only BSP please.

$8XX seems a bit high for just the front bumper. Did you get a couple qoutes, if not try a couple different shops and compare.

if you are ever around the washington d.c. area, i probably know a guy who would be willingly to do it for relatively cheap compared to what you're getting done.

i had my whole left side get a hit&run, it was scrapped relatively badly with scratches, and red paint all over it with a huge dent. Estimated from a bodyshop was 3600. I got it done for $400 by him. (But my friend who owns a scion car dealership, referred me to him) It was suppose to be a two week job, he did it for me in like 6 hours.

Long Island Paint and Sound will do it for $1,000 the entire car. It's a drive from Rochester and im not sure if they are still in business.

 

I got quoted $800 for repainting my xBs front bumper, sounds mormal to me.

 

I have to get all new panels and all new paint for my car. It's going to cost me $500, but may cost the insurance company around $8-$10k. Hail damage is real cool. I'm getting all the emblems shaved, and I might just go a totally new paint too. Especially if it's gonna be cheaper than Toyo paint. Who knows...But, good luck man. Hope you get it done and done right.

 

yea 800 seem pricey...i prolly know somebody in the roc to help you out wit that for a lil bit lower..holla at me when you get a chance..
