FOGLIGHT WARNING!!!
Cool. I had no plans to let them install it. List price for the single light is $168 so I doubt I will get anywhere with my dealer. They like to sell everything right at list or a bit above. I'll give corporate a ring and see if they have anything to say about it.
Does anyone know the oem foglight size. I know they are 9006's, however, most of the "application guides" for bulbs I have looked at do not list foglights for the tC. What I have been able to find confuses me a bit, as Silverstar has a couple of different versions/sizes? of 9006, i.e. 9006 ST and 9006 SU. What the hell?
Also, anyone have recommendations on which aftermarket bulbs would look closest to an HID and last a while? I have silverstars (not ultras) in my high and low beams, and I want the fogs to match the output of those.
Specifically, what do you all think about the PIAA lights and the Raybrig lights? I cannot decide between the silverstar ultras, and these.
By the way, I did a search for "tC foglight size" and could only find this post.
Thanks,
SigmaChi3

The fog lights could be either the 9006 with the striaght connectors or angled, the angled ones would be better but they have plenty of room behind them. As far as bulbs piaa are pricey might as well just get hids I have had cheap ebay hids for almost a year now and now problems. They where only 160 figure you would spend that with regular bulbs I've had piaa and they lasted about 6 months for me and Silver Stars which I only got about 2 months out of, and I don't drive around with them on during the day and turn them off before and after I turn the car on or off.
Since this thread was started by a broken foglight - and in case you weren't already aware of this - several companies sell foglight protection film. Can get them clear or in selected colors. Won't hold up if a boulder hits ya but it's a little peace of mind for < $20. Got mine from RockBlocker:

As far as the HID statement and the life of normal bulbs, you got shoft life because of crap bulbs (especiallly silver stars). I am still running the stock bulbs everywhere (and I never turn mine off). I have run the same standard halogens in my other car for about 4 years. The lifespan of HIDs over standard bulbs will never pay off (or come close) unless you are buying crappy bulbs or something else is happening. I dont think I have gone through $160 worth of 9006 bulbs in the last 4 cars I have owned.
As for rockblocker, that is what I run on mine now.
And it is correct that there is a lot of room behind them, so you should be able to run the straight connector. However, I would go with the right angle connector like the stock bulbs.
