With the position of the opening facing the windshield it seems like it will function more like a vent rather than a scoop. Air flow seems like it will flow similar to a reverse cowl where it goes through the front grills and out the vent. Either way there will be more flow.

And, as long as the filter isn't completely soaked ambient engine temperatures of 100+ deg Fahrenheit will dry that puppy up quickly and without a problem. What exactly are you planning on doing to prevent rain water from entering? Should be pretty interesting.

hey so far it looks good. keep up the good work. reminds me of the custom vent someone put on their front bumper on here for their CAI.

Will act more as a vent then a hood scoop. Theres a reason why hood scoops face forward and not backwards.
